Strategies for Addressing HIV/AIDS & Gender Based Violence From a Community Based Perspective This publication is based on the experiences and best practices of Kivulini Women’s Rights Organization in the implementation of activities which aimed to break the silence surrounding HIV/AIDS and gender based violence (GBV). The intention of this booklet is to provide strategies and examples of activities which can be implemented from a community based perspective to address the link between HIV/AIDS and GBV. The booklet is by no means encompassing of all strategies available. The majority of the strategies suggested in this publication have been proven effective in Tanzania.
